About Renanthopsis
Renanthopsis is an artificial hybrid genus. Its registered hybrids combine Phalaenopsis and Renanthera. Phalaenopsis species are epiphytes from the Philippines including Luzon, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, north-west Sumatera and Borneo in Sarawak. They occur in wet tropical climate. Renanthera species are epiphytic subshrubs from the Philippines including Luzon, Arunachal Pradesh to China in south Yunnan and Indo-China. They also occur in wet tropical climate.
Four hybrids are catalogued. The examples are Renanthopsis Mildred Jameson and Renanthopsis Chienlung Star River.
