Rhynchovola orchids

Rhynchovola is an artificial hybrid genus whose registered hybrids combine Brassavola and Rhyncholaelia. Brassavola species occur from Mexico to Venezuela and the south-west and south Caribbean, also in Brazil from Bahia to Goiás. They grow as epiphytes or lithophytes in seasonally dry tropical climate. Rhyncholaelia species are found from south-east Mexico to Honduras. They are epiphytes in wet tropical climate.

Ten hybrids are catalogued. Examples include Rhynchovola Jimminey Cricket and Rhynchovola David Sander.
