Robiquetia orchids

Robiquetia species are epiphytic subshrubs from wet tropical climates. They occur most often in the Philippines, then Peninsula Thailand to west and Central Malesia, the east Himalaya, Indo-China and east Himalaya to Hainan and Malesia. Elevations range from 500 to 2900 metres. Plants are medium or miniature in size and prefer hot or intermediate temperatures. Most species are fragrant and bloom mainly in fall, spring and winter.

Fifteen species are catalogued. Examples include Robiquetia cerina, Robiquetia aberrans, Robiquetia spathulata, Robiquetia bambusara and Robiquetia compressa.
