Rodriguezia orchids

Rodriguezia comprises pseudobulbous epiphytes from regions including Ecuador to Peru and Colombia to Peru. They occur in wet tropical and seasonally dry tropical climates at elevations from 200 to 1550 metres. Plants are miniature to small and prefer intermediate to hot temperatures. Most species are fragrant. Blooming takes place mainly in fall, spring and winter.

Fourteen species are catalogued, including Rodriguezia bahiensis, Rodriguezia lanceolata, Rodriguezia batemanii, Rodriguezia bracteata and Rodriguezia dodsoniana. One hybrid is catalogued: Rodriguezia Lanceolata Parfumata.
