Sobralia orchids

Sobralia species are large or giant perennials. They grow as terrestrials or epiphytes in wet tropical climates. The plants occur at elevations from 90 to 3400 metres. Regions with the most species include Ecuador and Colombia to Ecuador. Most species are fragrant. They prefer cool or intermediate temperatures. Bloom seasons are spring, summer and winter.
