Stenorrhynchos orchids

Stenorrhynchos plants are medium sized. They occur as epiphytes with a terrestrial growth habit in wet tropical climates. The species are found from the Caribbean and from Central Mexico to Central America at elevations from 1200 to 3000 metres. They prefer cold temperatures. Blooming occurs mainly in fall, late spring and spring.

Six species are catalogued. Stenorrhynchos speciosum is an example species.
