Tetramicra orchids

Tetramicra are perennial or rhizomatous geophyte orchids with an epiphytic growth habit. The species originate in wet tropical climates ranging from south-east Florida to the Caribbean and French Guiana. Typical plants are miniature or small in size and suited to intermediate or hot temperatures. Most species are recorded as fragrant. The main bloom seasons are spring, summer and late spring.

Three species and one hybrid are catalogued. Tetramicra canaliculata is the example species.
