Trichotosia orchids

Trichotosia species are epiphytic orchids from wet tropical climates. They occur from Nepal to China and Indo-China, and from Arunachal Pradesh to west Malesia, the Philippines and Vanuatu. Plants grow at elevations from 50 to 1600 metres. They are miniature or small and prefer hot temperatures. Blooms appear in spring, summer and fall.

Four species are catalogued. The examples are Trichotosia dasyphylla, Trichotosia pulvinata, Trichotosia velutina and Trichotosia vulpina.
