Trisetella orchids

Trisetella species are miniature epiphytes from wet tropical regions. They occur mainly in Ecuador with some in Bolivia. Plants grow at elevations from 800 to 2600 metres. They prefer cool to intermediate temperatures. Blooming occurs in fall, spring and summer.

Fourteen species and one hybrid are catalogued. Example species include Trisetella triglochin, Trisetella andreettae, Trisetella hoeijeri, Trisetella cordeliae and Trisetella fissidens. The registered hybrid is Trisetella Ecuagenera.
