About Zygonisia
Zygonisia is an artificial hybrid genus. Registered hybrids in this genus combine Zygopetalum and Aganisia. The species belonging to both of these genera are pseudobulbous epiphytes from wet tropical climates. Zygopetalum species are found from north Peru to Brazil. They are also found from east and south Brazil to north-east Argentina. They are also found from south-east and south Brazil. Aganisia species are found from east Colombia to south Venezuela and east Bolivia.
