Restrepiella orchids

Restrepiella orchids are large epiphytic plants that grow in wet tropical climates. The species are distributed from south Florida across Central Mexico to Colombia. They are found at elevations between 40 and 1600 metres. These orchids have a preference for hot temperatures. Their main bloom seasons are year-round with activity in spring and winter.

A single species is catalogued for this genus. The example species listed is Restrepiella ophiocephala.
